Gurukul heartily acknowledges the support received from the Arts council of England for the training of tier 1 students.The programme enables young regional musicians to undergo intensive training in Indian Classical Music.
The NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCIL has been extremely forthcoming in its cooperation with Gurukul to help establish true multicultural society in the north east of England. Their first contribution was in 2002 towards INSTRUMENTS for school music projects for Newcastle . This year they are our joint sponsors for the autumn festival, GURUKUL UTSAV which has 4 major events and will be open to Newcastle public free of cost. Gurukul thanks them for the second year of funding for projects.

A number of students have been funded for the Tier 1 (Professional Course leading to an Associate Performance Degree from the Trinity College London). We and the funded students are most grateful for their support.
